Hi guys.
My CD Recorder Pioneer stopped working.
After disassembled it, I found that the laser lens rolled into the box.
Obviously fallen during transport.
Is it possible to fix with glue or something more is needed?
Cheers

You should be able to see exactly where it came from and what orientation. This is critical so as not to need to physically adjust the Laser Grating.
I wouldn't use Super-Glue. It has a tendency to make the Lens go 'cloudy'.
Some other Glue should work.
But I cannot stress enough about getting it back in exactly the same orienation as it came from.

Thanks are the advice.
I will try with epoxy two-component glue once I know how exactly should it be.

I've never seen that happen in all the countless players we used to service. I think it should be OK if get the correct orientation.
A tiny tiny bit of warm epoxy dripped onto the four corners after you have placed the lens and confirmed all is good should be perfect.

There is a flat part on one side of the lens. Could yo match it to the recess where the lens was seated?
Last night I glued the lens and I tested it today. Works well.
The lens is placed with the narrower side to the laser, and the red dot that in the pictures is bottom should be on the outside
Thanks to everyone.
Be healthy!

Worked for a Pioneer ASC for 25 years, saw loads of this, but not so much on the Recorders.
Mainly on the PEA-1030 Laser. Notorious for it.
