MJ21194/3 to MJ21194G/4G

Perhaps a dumb question, but I hope not. Are the onsemi G versions an OK swap for the originals? I'm looking to repair some Lexicon amp boards and they each use four of each. Obviously I'm not going to find original MJ21194/3 parts. I presume I should change all of them on each board?

Thanks,
craigr

If you cant get originals you are getting on dodgy ground.
Some of the ebay/China stuff is poor quality and blows up if you fart near it.

I would suggest half an hour on RS Components website looking through transistor specs for replacements.

A wild guess would be MJ15003 and MJ15004 available from RS Components or CPC (Farnell)

TO3 metal can On Semi G variant is still freely available at Mouser and Digikey for these types - although not cheap. The MJL - G version in TO-264 is also available at about half the price of the metal can type.

Didn't he ask about Onsemi parts?

MJ15003/4 and MJ21193/4 aren't directly interchangeable. Check their Ratings and fT, please.
Best regards!
