Finished project (3-Way Horn)

Hello, these days I have finished my first project with high sensitivity drivers and I wanted to show it to you.
I am very grateful to this forum since through it I have learned enormously, thank you.
The drivers chosen for the project are the following:
-Faital HF108 on B-52 PHRN-1014 Horn
-Faital 10PR320
-B&C 15 PS100
The midwoofer is housed in a closed box of about 14 liters. For the woofer I chose a bass reflex box with an approximate volume of 100 liters.
It is an active multi-amplification system commanded by the minidsp 4x10HD.
I am currently measuring the speakers with REW and adjusting crossover filters and EQ.

Regards.

they look way better without speaker grill

..yeah. 😱

I almost think a shear *floral print would look better than the monolithic straw color.

*large (almost abstract) in size.

Most notably I'd be looking for a fabric that was more acoustically transparent (as in an exceedingly thin/shear flexible nylon).

Still..

Holy CR@P that's a fine finish he's got here: it absolutely looks like it came fresh from an excellent cabinet maker's shop (who also specializes in paint).

Sort of like the speaker that JBL SHOULD have produced.. 😀

Thank you very much for your participation, I am glad that you like the project.
I see that most of you like it better without the protective grids 🙂.
The idea of making the protection grilles is because in principle I don't like the aesthetics of the pro drivers especially, but once the speakers were finished my opinion changed, and with the black front I liked the aesthetics, and right now I don't know if I they like better with or without grids.
Regards.

The amplification is varied.
For the tweeter I use the power amplifier of a Nad 320BEE, an Onkyo M-5000R for the midwoofer and a pro power amplifier for the woofer, Alesis RA500.
Right now the frequency cuts in the minidsp are at 150 and 1300Hz.
For a few days I will dedicate myself to listening to music and vary if necessary both frequency cuts and equalization.
Regards.

Hi all.
I think I've finally found the crossover points and EQ that best suit my tastes.
Crossover points at 175 and 1300Hz.
Here are some graphs of the frequency response at the listening point, 2.6 meters away from the speakers.
The equalization of the bass area (Below 175Hz) I have done with both speakers simultaneously. Above this frequency, the equalization has been carried out for each channel separately. The last graph corresponds to an average of eight measurements made around the listening point.
Regards.

Hello Vilayez,

Congratulations with your great build! Well done.

I am thinking of using the 10PR320 in my new 3 way design too. It will be the 18N862 for bass (they are left over from another - cancelled - project), 10PR320 for midrange and still looking for a nice horn + cd driver to pair with. Thinking of the HF108R + LTH102.

What is your impression of the 10PR320 since your last post, still satisfied? Can you recommend it as a midrange for a large 3 way?

Thanks in advance for sharing your opinion!

Regards.
