Hey everyone,
Does anyone know a good source for getting 3 or 4 pairs of these ?
The K1529 has Y 1B printed on it.
The J200 has Y 9B printed on it.
I saw this on eBay
2SJ200 + 2SK1529 TOSHIBA P-Channel MOS Transistor | eBay
Are they the same ?
Thanks everyone.

Anyone knows anything about the Y 1B and Y 9B markings ? Are they something technical ? the ones on eBay has different marking. I have been trying too source these and finding it difficult. This is to repair an old lfd amplifier.
Hi ticknpop, Thanks for the reply. When you say older, what does it mean ? Cant they be used together ? I am almost zero technically 🙂

Thank you Trollet. I have send them an enquiry. The website do not have an English version so finding it little difficult navigate. Have you bought anything from them in the past ?
Year of manufacture, month of manufacture
Green epoxy case is older
Not exactly correct. The "Y" indicates a higher voltage/current rating compared to the "not Y" version.
The 1B & 9B markings are production-/date codes 🙂
You should definitely replace them with the same Y versions, or you risk failure.
These are for sure "Y" versions.
Don´t replace them with standard (not Y) versions. (Been there, seen that, tried that. Didn´t go well) 🙂

I was commenting on the date code, not the “ Y “ .
Yes you have to replace with the same “ Y “ or “0 “ Vgs letter code, but not the same date code
The data sheet shows the “ Y “ being the higher Vgs grouping, not higher voltage or current.
(see note 2 on the datasheet) They are 15.9 cm wide x 20 cm tall

The 2SK150/]2SJ201 are higher voltage and current, but the device capacitances are higher,.and they are bigger - 20.5 cm wide x 26 cm tall
They have the same Vgs groups as the 1529/200

Yes I have ordered about 60 pairs from them, last time about a year ago.
If one replace Y with O, then most surley, one has to change bias circuit for right Vgs as it's almost half of Y-grade.
But it may work depending on how low bias circuit works.
If not, bias will rise to a couple of amps and it will get hot !
Figge

Of course.... Sorry... my bad 😉
I got this reply from Kesslerelectronic.de about what they have in stock.
" It is 2SK1529-PY and 2SJ200-Y ". " They are original and new Toshiba ".
Should I go for it ?

If the original amp is Y grade, yes, buy them if you trust them, and maybe get few more for spares too. These are out of production for a long time, no more new ones, they will only get more expensive and hard to find
@ticknpop, The original ones are what you see in the image below.

They look like Y versions. Hopefully these should work.
