I suspect those are the first. I designed the enclosure and Dave drew it up a while back, but I'm not sure we posted the plan.
Mancave62,
There you go - you're a an owner of a unique pair of speakers! Please get done with the stuffing and other formalities, hook 'em up, and tell us how they sound. 🙂

rode my bike 55 miles,
That's a decent ride. We just got a big dump of snow, so not many brave (or crazy) enough to ride on the road.😀

Pensil N70's are complete and up and running. I really have enjoyed building the 10p's and these. A new table saw has made all the difference in the world, as my woodworking skills improve I will try more detailed cabinet builds.
To my ear these N70's sound great, very clear highs (maybe a bit in your face, but I like that), bass is surprisingly good for such a small driver (tight and punchy). For the value, I'm very satisfied.
I've gotta be honest, after listening to the 10p's all week, not sure how much play time these will get, but considering they're the only ones on the planet, who knows...🙂

I have been comparing my Pensil 10p and Cn-70, wow, I love them both, very different, the 10s go lower, but the 70's get really way high and still kick in the bass, I love to listen to both, still can't believe that little Chn-70 can produce that much incredible detail at the high volumes I like to fill the mancave...
Wish someone else would build the Pensil N70 and post a detail of the listening experience..but I guess I'll have to be the one and only on the planet...LOL...thanks...
Thanks Freddi, those graphs looks basically identical, correct me if I'm wrong, I'll just keep listening, great sound...
the sim can only show so much - CHN-70 is a bit more sensitive than 7MS due to lower impedance. Plus its blue 😀
One of my numerous “Castle Microtower” builds was with a pair of CHN70 per side (series wired, IIRC), and they’re now residing in my 86yo mom’s living room. A quite fun driver, particularly for the price.
Any other N70 builds?
So I'm still loving my Pensil N70 speakers. They are Pensils with the Mark Audio CHN-70 full rangers. Has anyone else built these and what is your feedback. Thanks

Yes, I'm still very much enjoying these speakers. Would love to hear some feedback if anyone else has built these or at least used them in an enclosure...love them in my mancave social distancing program...LOL...stay healthy...
That’s what I was alluding to -your memory of the hundreds of builds is probably better than mine.
That is true, but with literally hundres of builds and many, many more designs going back 2 decades some escape.
