If anyone has experience to build this kit, all tips will be much appreciated... Wondering particularly how to combine volume potentiometer with balanced and unbalanced input (any suggestions...). And if power transformer is not shield, it should not affect the quality of sound?

I would not worry about the power trafo. It's toroidal and exhibits very little stray magnetic field. OTOH, toroids are wide bandwidth and EMI/RFI suppression, of some kind, along the connection to the AC mains is in order.

Just seen your post and I went to Dortmund to pick up bits from Thomas Strüning(DieRohre) , Poland for transformers, valves, USA for some bits and China. Made/migged the case and had it chromed here in Southampton UK. SOUNDS really good through my old Richard Allan Monitor 80 loudspeakers. Now about to add phono stage, kit build tube possibly, did you add one?
