Ok, I just suffered through 61 pages of the Pearl Acoustics Sibelius topic only to find that no one had truly offered the MAOP-10 as an alternative for use in a ML-TQWT cabinet like to Sibelius. So I am starting a new thread to discuss that specifically (please no questions about BR cabinets or horse hair stuffing 😵💫). Has anyone tried this combination? I am willing to build and test it but would ask for assistance in the cabinet details.
But this photo tells us absolutely nothing. Does anyone know who this is? Are they on this forum?I googled your question and found this facebook image. So someone has tried this combo.

This not Sibelius but an ML-TQWT.
A little different but can certainly work.

The comment states “The internal is 161 x 231”. No height or anything about whether it is tuned to the MAOP-10. But these dimensions are the same internal width and depth to the Sibelius dimensions so my guess is that he merely built a clone based on the Pearl Acoustics Sibelius thread.
The drive is 10 and the plans is like Pensil 11 DIY with bottom opening 7cm. And the internal wood like tqwt speakers on the bottom inside 4cm.
Try to send some question to him.

He states in the comments that he does not even know what the terms So and Si mean. Clearly he just copied the Sibelius dimensions.
What I was hoping to start here was a discussion on designing a ML-TQWT cabinet specifically for the MAOP-10.

If you post your personal values T/S on your MAOP10.2,
we will have something to go on to optimize the box.
Here is mine.

T/S may vary for Maop10.2 drivers are adapted to selective selected pairs.
Have seen Fs under 40hz.
Mine were over 43hz.
If you don't have a pair of Maop10.2, they are almost impossible to get hold of.
Unfortunately, they are no longer manufactured.

Which is partly why I hang onto my pair of MAOP10s -serial numbers 001a and 001b. 😉
Yes!!! This is a great idea.OP's thread of course -- could/should we include the MAOP11MS?
Will the Maop11MS be sold as matched pairs?
Hope so.
Is the price be more expensive than Maop11?
Is Maop11MS be based on Alpair11MS or on Maop11? Or both?

In order:
- They all are, or should be, since they're pair-matched at the factory and Evan doesn't do that for the good of his health. Whether the dealers do their jobs and supply the matched drivers as they are supposed to, unfortunately is out of our hands. They should be, and if they claim 'we don't offer that service' it should be pointed out that it isn't a 'service' and they don't have to do anything at all other than provide the numbered units the factory have gone to considerable trouble to provide them with.
- I'm afraid I don't know, but I would expect so.
- MAOP11 is [was] based on the Pluvia 11. MAOP11MS, as you can probably tell from the name, is based on Alpair 11MS. There is no part commonality between them.
