Apropos the rabbit: Many years ago, friends of mine had a three-year-old daughter, so on Christmas Day I gave her a soft toy that was a rather splendid crouching tiger about the size of a large cat. Later that day, their tomcat was found vigorously emulating the rabbit (complete with bite on toy's neck). Belly laughs all round and, "You'll understand when you're older" explanation to child.
