There is nothing to discuss. USB reclocker is totally useless for asynchronous UAC2. Regardless of price. Same applies to Innuos audiophile-grade network switch,
But since we have a leading DIY minds on the subject and I need a good USB /SPDIF converter while I can't afford a pack of cigarettes, I wanted to take this opportunity and ask if this gizmo looks like a decent choice

I bet the fellow at STEREOPHILE with three names will find it DEFINITELY sounds better but you must use the $40,000 German battery box to hear the full effect. When that device is working or compatible with the rest of his reference system (of the moment), of course.
Whenever I read those reviews I figure that system is truly a reference - but for all of the wrong reasons.
He should stick to record reviews.

BTW that are a lot of packets of fags.
Surely not! Are you saying this is just a bunch of old men moaning? The beef is that there is a fair number of people who can afford to buy it,
Probably they would not moan if that device actually did something.
It has nothing to do with not being able to spend much money or not. For some reason some always come up with that (or jealousy), maybe because it is their own nature/culture to envy others? It is about obtaining a device with questionable added value. An expensive version of Peter Belts aluminium foil. Or should we we see it as highly intelligent to buy something that adds nothing? Like an extra house door to put in front of the existing one.

^ People moan about mined diamonds vs. lab-grown diamonds vs. CZ vs. the value of gemstones / rocks / rubble.
I find it all hilarious.

Does it have to add anything beyond pleasing the owner?something expensive that adds nothing?
Last time I volunteered I ended up with a totally unusable Ifi Zen Stream so I’ll pass.

Old Auralic Altair streamer which I quite like has only USB digital output . Very very old Theta Gen VIII mk3 which for some reason they still make and are able to sell for $15k and which I was given because I'm such a charming guy does not have USB input. Simple as thatWhy convert to yet another interface?
BTW that are a lot of packets of fags.
It has everything to do with it. If the price was $50- 0 nobody would bother . Same with Tom Evans $40k phono . The army of have-nots rushed to save rich fools from making the mistake of their life . How bizarre ! It felt like hunting down Robin Hood and giving back to them Lordships .Funniest idiocy of our timesProbably they would not moan if that device actually did something.

The conscious buyers/users/Tech oriented ones usually are not satisfied with stuff that does not do much. Even if given for free.
Probably it is a cultural thing to first look at cost, who can or not can afford it and only then at quality?!
After a while the cost is not felt anymore, who can or can’t afford it also does not bother you as you have bought it. Only thing you get stuck with is quality/usability/added value. Now what if that is close to 0? Happy camper?!

I agree, no question . However, I shyly have to admit that free Theta Gen VIII mk3 does something and I'm not ready to recycle it just yet.
I also believe in Maximalism in opposition to current trends forced on people🙂 More useless crap polluting the space the better . And concrete and noise of the cities is a beautiful thing.

Hans Beekhuyzen can't wait to get his hands on it.I bet the fellow at STEREOPHILE with three names will find it DEFINITELY sounds better but you must use the $40,000 German battery box to hear the full effect. "A dark-haired, durably handsome and dependable cowboy actor equipped with a strong stance and taciturn seriousness both on and off camera"Denis Moore beat you to it.
A short, fat, bald and missing some essential teeth frequently penniless old geezer driving 2004 Pontiac doesn't look like a worthy competitor to a title ...
Not to mention YouTuber Darko claims it improves sound...
Instinctively, I do not trust anyone who goes by the name Darko..
