Any Thoughts? These recently hit my radar on AliExpress and eBay, so I bought one. I paid ~$30 CAD for one piece. Something else to tinker with...

Aha!be a 1N4007 inside.
I was having similar thoughts.
The solder does not look deeply penetrated. I could have a go at replacing them...idk...
Nah. SENGTERBELLE is a very large seller, I don't think they want to risk their whole business by using fake parts.Looks good. Although I suspect if you broke open one of those TO-247 packages there would be a 1N4007 inside.
4 of them cost less than 3 USD at LCSC; or used less than half of that from TaoBao (talking about genuine parts, of course) - that leaves plenty of BOM room for a nice profit.
Edit: This rectifier is only USD 9,11 at TaoBao (Weilang is a 100% trustworthy seller on TaoBao, IMHO).
on TaoBao...

With that kind of money, you probably can do something more exciting, better performance, smaller size, little heat concerns, little noise concerns, something like this IdealBridge Implementation ,and it is true DIY too ^_^
