Visited Sweden and Norway in October of 2012, I'm there. Let's do it.I really think you should consider moving the whole event to Scandinavia.
It's cold here, so it's possible to increase bias a lot.

It was a great show, lots of different events and many thing to see. Thank you every one for the kind comments on my Quad 303/EPI 100 combo and Bottlehead set up.
One last thing, I'd like to thank everyone that I shared Conference Room 2 with. We had a lot of laughs and zero conflicts over playing time. Almost everyone will be back next year.
Hey guys - just jumping in to also say "thank you" for putting on such a great weekend. Thanks to the organizers, volunteers and people who contributed to the raffle and auction. It was great fun! Also great to meet many of you, talk audio gear with and I solute your efforts for bringing all that heavy, bulky gear out for some awesome demos.
Cheers,
Evan

Nikon F/Cary,
Thank you for bringing those yummy homemade chocolate chip cookies too.
Jim,
Thank you so much for being willing to hook up your amazing turntable system to my poor ol' cheap man's speakers and help create some "expectation exceeding" sound.
Roger,
Please extend our gratitude to your dear wife for finding and purchasing those excellent Pliny's.
Anyone still needing/wanting help or direction or anything regarding the foam core board folded Voigt Pipe/Frugalhorn "clones" just ask and I will assist or direct you to the correct post from XRK971.

Just wanted to add my thanks to all of the others for a great event!! Big shout out to all of the organizers and volunteers too!!
Also, thanks for all that stopped by and shared comments and suggestions about the turntable that I brought in. Other that than Paul's awesome Ampex 2-track in the room with the plasma speakers, I believe I was the only other analog heretic in the house! 🙂
Jim.

Birdbox,
Thank you for the generous gift of the ACA upgrade kit as well. I had a great time and enjoyed everyone and heard no bad sounding systems at all.

Mass loaded speakers at work.... 5wpc vs 100+ bridged F4s. Sure, it's not fair, so what?
It's fun.
Those speakers do make great flower pot stands, huh? ;-)
Haven't had a chance to run them with the Zons Of Zenductor yet...
Thanks guys..
PS- Yes, I know the rug and stereo are not aligned. Hmm....

That's a lovely looking ACA Mini there. I bet it will be a fun comparision with the mighty mono Zenductor II. Nice setup! I'm jealous 😀
@tonyEE,
Great job of acquiring something and already having a perfect place to put them! Are those acoustic panels or SMGs behind them?
Now you just have to find someplace else for the displaced monitors...

Maggie 1.7. Against the wall when not in use in the caboose.
I just listened to Rafael Fruhbeck de Burgos, National Orchestra of Spain, La Boda De Luis Alonso, Intermezzo. Can you believe we saw them live, play this, on the 2nd encore of his last performance in the US?
Unfortunately, the 5 watt small set up just can't compete with 100 wpc... this needs DYNAMICS. I tried, did try, but had to make the switch. Played the bridged F4s into the "small" AN. If I could find someone who would provide the speakers, I could schlep the amps up there. I didn't build them, I just provided the "push". They sound really, really good. Note the Iron Bal in there?
Maybe for next year, I'm gonna set up a battery powered DAC to take up there and we can plug it playing LOUD orchestral music.... Nelson better have a 20 wpc Grand Zon of Zenbusters and we can rattle the windows with some music from Dead European Composers!
Yikes, this stuff would sound incredible over the Plasmas.... I kept thinking of the bass reach (and slam) of the Quads and Plasma....
I plan on working with the Zons of Zenductor this week... to 1.3V and beyond! ;-)
One of the great things about BA is getting to listen to so many systems... everything is different, yet everything is so fun and gives you a different outlook on sound...

Hmm.. with all due respect to the little amp and speakers... I threw a ringer at them. The low bass is missing, naturally, and they get a little hooty when played loud, but those 5wpc and those little speakers play quite LOUD and the treble and upper midrange are simply spot on. The have "pace", the bass lines are there quite clear, voices are pure, there is no harshness... note: the speakers must be placed on a hard floor, not a rug ( big difference there ).
Duh! What was I ( not ) thinking earlier?
Perhaps bringing back the Entecs and a high pass crossover?
Now I'm complicating things... the little setup is playing Clapton and Winwood Live From Madison Square and you gotta hear them sing.
Best money ( the only raffle I've ever won ) ever spent... I imagine with a couple of small woofers and some ICE amps this is all the stereo a person needs/wants.
You know, the Sissy SIT has 10 watts. ;-)
There I go again... more (blue) lights, cables, switches.... hey! It's fun.
Let's do BA 25.1 and BA 25.2.... I might bid on an VFET ( Damn, Damn, Damn.... ).
You know the best thing, besides more amps and speakers.... is that I'm getting confident on my soldering again. It may not be pretty, but it has worked correctly for the fist time two years in a row ( knock on wood ). I learnt some good tricks... So I might build that tone control board I got last time...
And this... thanks @Bob Cordell for recommending it. I should have brought up your books up the autograph.... dang it.

Hey @tonyEE, your Metronomes look right at home there. Congratulations!
p.s. Where did you find your equipment racks? I need one or two like those.

Thank you. It was my way of making my wife "happy". ;-)
Pangean Audio Vulcan racks.
I bought several "kits" and made three racks out of them. Got two of the "LP racks" because they have the 12" spacers. I also bought some 10" spacers.
Built a taller seven shelf rack for the HT.
Mind you, I don't recommend them for the turntable ( Target 5TT for that ) because they are a little wobbly.
Also got the rolling casters. They're easy to roll about.

Thanks organizers and participants! It was rad to bask in the presence of fellow audio nerds. The systems were great, the talks were great, the chat was great. The Torta I got from the food truck was great, but too big. Wife says I need to build bases for the Zenductors so they don't scratch the furniture, oh well! Gotta read up on this nutube pre also (woot - score!). Oh, and that SMPS filter, that's gonna be sweet also!🤓

Hey I quite like Birdbox's pic of NP in post 477, so I had to head over to whip up this version PDQ...

Agreed. If you are on carpets try a 12x12 tile underneath them. I am a big fan of downward firing ports. For whatever reason, they seem to me to hook up with the rooms better.note: the speakers must be placed on a hard floor, not a rug ( big difference there ).
