TL;DR: This is a USB transport for audio output (up to 8ch) and input (2ch for now) and user device control (e.g., DSP management) from PC (MacOS/Linux/Windows) thru I2C/GPIO. Including bootloader for remote firmware update, flexible device configuration, HID interface, multiple audio output options, integration with SigmaStudio (simultanious audio playback and ADAU DSP configuration). Compact module available in USB-C and USB-B versions, isolated or non-isolated.

Most versatile, and probably the best solution on the market is jlsounds board. It can drive directly, or provide i2s. It's also very easy to supply with linear supply.
York can do it too 🙂 As well as multichannel TDM/I2S output, S/PDIF out, I2S 2ch input. Perhaps one feature that is not supported right now is the native DSD. Additionally it provides communication channel from PC to I2C.It can drive directly, or provide i2s.
It's not isolated. No addon board support for master clock. All done within one chip. TrueIt's not isolated
It actually supports that. In external clock mode configuration it would disable on-board oscillators and mclk pin becomes an input.No addon board support for master clock.
44/48kHz select signal is available on F0 pin.

I've already developed with XMOS, but I'm looking for other alternatives too, there are some very creative and intelligent people! (like this project mentioned above)
