Does not look like the flat side of the THF51 is actually touching the heatsink. Looks like there is a spacer/washer on the fastener between the heatsink and THF51 with this goo between them, lots of goo.
I stared at it awhile. I might have started hallucinating but I do not think so.

and Desmond said - it'll be SIT 5 Monos
I like it; Rich Pa is (easily) Happy Pa ..... more breadcrumbs for Greedy Boyz
I like pain. ( I wonder if You Know Who might bite again? )
I still have Tokins in the closet.
Looking at the SIT-4... hmm... was ZM ahead with the Sissy? To be honest, the Sissy is reliable and sounds really good. What does the SIT-4 give you over it?
Perhaps a more reliable and powerful SIT path ahead would be mono block Sissies?

Build a Singing Bush ( a high powered SIT-4 like amp), or two for stereo.

so, just to summarize - 2015 BAF SIT amp, "2SK77B 50W VFETY AMPLIFIER", finally fruited as direct production piece, in two forms:
Happy Pa, Rich Pa, happy Pa.
ZM OMMMMnihappy
- Mini, as SIT 4
- regular size, as upcoming SIT 5
Happy Pa, Rich Pa, happy Pa.
ZM OMMMMnihappy
Happy Generg, poor Generg, rich GenergthanksPa, happy Generg
not to forget OMMMMnihappy ZM the one and only Official Court Jester

That’s awesome Mark. I need that with a mini-split attached 🙂.
All jest aside…I’m looking forward to building one of the SIT amps next, and also just installed a slightly over-sized ac earlier this year.
Texas is too hot now.

Interesting, I would really like to try out the 4 or 5's. I have the speakers for them, but so far I have preferred my Pass XA25 to my SissySIT. In short, more attack and rythm versus the spooky qualities. Might just be that my execution of the Sissy is lacking or a personal preference of my ears. Willing to investigate further.
The XA25 is a much more powerful amplifier according to testing by Stereophile. It is also 3rd harmonic distortion dominant into 8 Ohm. That could be factors in difference in sound.

That's what Stereophile says and I'm not disagreeing with Atkinsons measurements, but then the INT-25 with the same exact circuit just with a front-end strapped to it is suddenly 2nd harmonic? Which I guess it is, I had one of those and it was magical. I think the 3rd or the 2nd are both a very slight sprinkling of aroma so to say and not very dominant in the common sense of the word.
The interesting thing to me is that XA25 has quite a low output impedance meaning that the 'grip' on the speakers (damping factor) is higher, but with wideband, OB, or other high sensitivity speakers a low damping factor seems to be preffered. This is why I would like to test the SIT-4 or SIT-5. Or build a follower with my Tokins 🙂
