Movies or TV Shows Where Audiophile Equipment Are Seen

I haven’t notticed that. Sherwood was in Grandma’s boyfriend’s house. Some sort of all-in-one casette player/reciever.

I believe it has an 8-track too. Plus the turntable. It was sort of common at the time. But not to have the 8-track AND cassette at the same time.

Texans, you know, they gotta have EVERYTHING.

Hehehe... I think I found it.. a Sears, here's one that looks very similar. It could also be a Montgomery Wards? Definitely not one of the better sounding models.

This?

It amazes people actually pay more than a dime for this junk.

I think they made one without turntable... Montgomery Ward Airline GEN-6308

TEAC Reference Micro System?

View attachment 806289

Yes, I think those are the 300 Reference series.... integrated, tuner, DVD and Digital Recorder. I actually own some of the 300 and 500 series (just amps and tuners).

To German DIYAudio members: there was a comics series on TV titled "Bavarian Rhapsody". The father, an old hippy (growing seed, drives a VW microbus, etc.) apparently likes vinyl and rock, and in one scene he even uses a Discwasher. I could not recognise his turntable, though. Anybody has more information?
The titles are related to typical Bavarian dishes: “Sweet Buns Blues”, “Winterpotato Dumplings”; “Porkhead Al Dente”, “Wheatnoodles Affair”, “Sauerkraut Coma”, “Leberkäs Junkie”.
