In the near future, I'm going to put up for sale some small (4" full range) drivers. I don't have the original cardboard. What are some good ways to pack them up?
Drivers are mark audio CHBW70eNTry and replicate the original packaging. What are the drivers?
Bolt them to a piece of plywood that is cut to fit an appropriately sized box for the speaker. Cover with bubble wrap and seal the box. Place the boxes in a larger box with 2" of foam material on all sides as well as top and bottom. Seal the outer box and ship with confidence.
Not sure I'm following. I'm only shipping the drivers, not the speaker cabinet.
I have packed hundreds of such.
Cut a strip of cardboard jut a bit wider tha te driver. Bend up a bit of the end, pout the driver face down butting up to the lip you just made, wrap the cardboard around the driver, cut off the excess cardboard, tape it up. Do the same with the other, put them cone-to-cone, tape up.then put them in a box (which you might have to make) just a bit bigger so you have somne squish space.
Do not use bubble wrap… it does not work.
Here are some picture with some extra detail for AlNiCo magnet drivers.,
