What do you think about this Chinese audio processor? Is it any good? LA-480

Honestly, I don't have enough knowledge to determine whether it's worth it or not, but what I do know is that when vendors add chip models to the specifications it's a good sign 🤣🤣

4in 8out about 185€ inclued shiping to EU (+import taxes) on alibaba

340€ on aliexpress all inclued..

What do you think?

Does it have any digital inputs?
I see 4 ADC inputs..

That withstanding -
would be interesting to compare one to Najda DSP - that was available here from 2012 to 2018.

Najda had a very good DAC implementation, analogue volume control, and easily changeable OP amps - I fitted Bursons.
Those are things I would look for.
It showed me what was possible for the DIY community on a budget.

Thomann sell a few different DSPs, no doubt originating in China.
I am testing a t-racks 4x4 as a crossover/equaliser.

The PC app is good, though would have been better had there been an app for it.

Good price and easy returns, unlike Aliexpress.

ps DO YOU MEAN LA408? LA-480 doesn't exist.

yes, my mistake. it's LA-408

bro.. you are comparing something with 4 outputs, Vs something with 8 XD
7 Band PEQ Vs 15-band PEQ+ 31VGEQ + 5 DEQ (+ fir filters)
sampling rate 48kHz Vs 768kHz/192 kHz
SNR 105 vS 110... and so on... d

efinitely not playing in the same league..

and by the way, now aliexpress actually have good return policy...

The most interesting question to me, what is the original product it is a copy of. The GUI is clearly high above anything designed in China.

If data are as described, which of course are the data of the original product, it may be quite interesting for HIFI use.
For PA, where in and output levels are quite constant and set by professionals, noise and digital resolution are no problems.
Something else with HIFI, as the DSP has to work from lowest volume to highest without loosing too much DSP resolution. For example when driven by the output of a conventional preamp.

PS this was too easy, here it is, just up side down: https://www.amazona.de/test-the-t-racks-fir-dsp-408-lautsprecher-controller/

is not really the same... so is not "copy" it's just "inspired" hahahaha

even cheaper:

@Turbowatch2 actually 290€ on aliexpress... i think you can go even cheaper on alibaba... it's 165€ without taxes... i just ask for DDP shiping...

https://www.alibaba.com/product-det...offerlist.normal_offer.d_title.5ca7324fKDh8yg
£160 inc shipping + 20%vat = £192 - much cheaper than the T.rack equivalent but 1month delivery estimate.👎
