Is it possible to make a 6th order bandpass box where the subs are visible from the outside? No clear materials only MDF. I'm new to the box design world.

"There are a few types of enclosures when it comes to bandpass (4th / 6th / 8th order bandpass). The speaker is out of sight, inside the cabinet and the sound comes out only through the port(s)."

yes, you can make one chamber very small and the port very large so you can see the drivers - but that limits your acoustic choices.a 6th order bandpass box where the subs are visible from the outside?
you can also make tapped horns with visible drivers, see here, for example:

If you want the driver visible, I would choose other designs. Even viewing through a port has issues; bigger ports need to also be longer for most subwoofer tunings. Which would make the driver harder to see, probably make the box rather long as you couldn't bend the port, take up more space and tend to introduce pipe resonances at lower frequecies (close to the pass band).
By contrast many (possibly even most) other designs have the woofer on show by default, for no extra work needed.

Has to be 6th order bandpass? Why?Is it possible to make a 6th order bandpass box where the subs are visible from the outside?
