Probably won't show - 2019 left a bad taste in my mouth, and I'm not really up for driving all the way to Petaluma to get disappointed yet again. Too bad, as I was a regular attender previously.
It would be really nice to have a setup with a mixer so the same wireless lapel mic can feed the PA and the livestream. Gotta be some PA experts here. 🙂Does anybody in the area have good PA stuff they can bring to BAF '24? We used to have Wavebourn, but he moved...
The room isn't overly large and a couple of speakers would do the job. I did it last year unamplified.
Also, last year's projector in that room was on the low-res side making schematics hard to display FWIW.
I should be able to help. I have access to a variety of pa equipment and have a fair amount of stuff that I own. I have access to good quality video as well if we need it.
I am happy to bring some stuff to add to the raffle/auction and if I have enough space in my luggage some local food just like last year 🙂 It did not last more than 5 minutes!
I can bring some fine Wisconsin Cheddar along with my tweeters

Just bring a good prosciutto, I'll bring the knife and carving block.
Maybe we can find some good garnacha wines... I know they got them in Central California, on my way up the 101.
Coming back from the Old Country the guy at US Customs asked us if we were carrying any food or jamon serrano.
I had a big bag of wonderful sandwiches and chocolates in my hand... and half our luggage was food and Lladros -we jettisonned most of our underwear and socks to make more room!
Heck, we were bringing some awesome -sliced- iberico jamon, sausages, canned 'mariscos', some really good stuff.
"no, no food" we replied.
We weren't gonna share it. ;-)
See you soon.
Thanks Jim for setting it up.... it's gonna be a great summer... one month vacation, son getting married, our wedding anniversary and then BA24.
There's just something so wrong about "cheddar" and "tweeters" appearing in the same sentence. Don't get me wrong, I love Wisconsin Cheddar, but still ...I can bring some fine Wisconsin Cheddar along with my tweeters
There will be a Saturday evening hangout, where the wine and cheese can flow along with some reproduced music. Bring it on, Tony.
It's very expensive in CA - not so bad here in WIIt's expensive cheddar. Can't afford to eat much.
I grew up with velveda in spanish noodles. Not bad after you get used to it.
Soprasatta and provolone piccante?I am happy to bring some stuff to add to the raffle/auction and if I have enough space in my luggage some local food just like last year 🙂 It did not last more than 5 minutes!
That looks like the Spanish variant. I was talking about the Italian that Gianluca might have access to. But it's no big deal. Anyway I can get it here but I don't know if it's the legit stuff or not.
Is there another version of sobrasada? Did the Italians copy us? ;-)
The woman in Long Beach makes her own embutidos and also imports them from Spain. She has been doing that for 30 years or so... pretty good job.
Sure, I can get a lot more of them in Spain... but, beggars can't be choosers.

Ah, that's from the same place I am going to visit next month (Maiorca). We call it "soppressata" which is pretty much the same thing. I think they sell these at the supermarket where I usually buy groceries
