Post a Picture that Makes You Laugh

"Lupines" are one kind of very tasty Italian beans.
Lupins, in English.
Lupini, in Italian.
Yes, it's a legume seed.

Typically not eaten as in, say, stews, but roasted and salted , as snacks.

It's the first time I've heard something like this, and they certainly don't eat like this here in Italy or in Europe.
Probably in some remote Asian region, perhaps.

AFAIK lupin beans are mostly eaten in brine in jars, and in my area (and not only) many people sell them loose, obviously by weight, from large brine drums.

They are healthy and very good accompanied by cold lager beer.

Its presence is mentioned in some preparations (for example olives, just because they are also eaten in brine) since lupin beans can be allergenic and therefore trigger allergic reactions.
Its presence must currently be mentioned by law.

The word originally meant unwed, not without sexual experience. Sews up some loose ends does it not?
No, it does not.
When the angel told Mary "you'll give birth" she answered, confused: "how can that be?, I have not known Man"
"Known" being the old euphemism for "having sex".
Strongly suggest you don't mess with Religion, doubly so in a public Forum which expressly forbids it.

Here they are first boiled (or they would be inedible), then placed in an oven proof tray and sprayed with salt, lightly baked until dry.
Served as you show, together with beer.
Similar to roasted salted peanuts.

If you really get down to it, that description of the Wizard of Oz is pretty much accurate, as she offs the wicked witch of the West's sister right at the start with her house, then does for Westie herself with a a pail of water. Both were more or less an accident, but killin' was done in each instance.
