The RCA 808s that I own have matt grey anodes supposedly made of tantalum. GE also made a version with darker anodes (graphite?) without "wings".
The image says 35T, if that is ~the same thing as 35TG then the anodes are made of zirconium-coated tantalum according to this post:

Yep, it's a 35t. However it seems like they had all kinds of anodes and coatings....just not sure which one it is
