Not for the quality of sound, but for vintage beauty and practicality when traveling, see below design of small czeshoslovakia speakers from 60's, sitting on my w/s shelf. They can be clip locked together and have carrying handle on one side. Cables are fully retractable. Modern full range in such cabinets would make sense.
Guess one could make an flat Amp In exact dimensions of speakers so when traveling it all locks in one box with handle, compact, beautiful and easy to carry around.

I know that you can find more examples if you search around a little bit.

What works for me, is a few thin coats of LTS 50 Coating liquid from Visaton.
I was going to suggest a coat of puzzlekoat modpodge to do the same. The small bottle of LTS 50 i have remains unused, but it smells the same.
A jar of modPodge coats a whole lot less, but most people aren’t treating 100s of drivers.
6 coats will definity kill the peak, but it, i suspect, will also make it a midBass since too much takes away the top. I put one thin coat on my 3FExx. Your measures show more extention than i would have thot, what are the multiple curves?
I was also goinfg to suggest listening off-axis.

Well Dave, the cone on 4fe32/35 isn’t really absorbing the liquid, so each layer isn’t adding much weight.
And if I’m not remembering it wrong. I was trying to find the point where it started to look worse, but settled for 6 applications.
The attached measurement is 4fe35 16ohm without lts-50 and with 6 applications on the whole cone.
And comparing with and without in the waterfall/decay.
The ones I showed before was 4fe32 4 ohm without, 2 felt pads, 4 felt pads, 6, 8. Each one adding weight and dampening.
But I wouldn’t claim that all this 100% accurate.
My memory of what my screen shots means, measurement technique, placebo and so on might cloud the validity.

I’m not even sure distance, gating, or anything.
But this is the evolution of adding two or more symmetricaly placed pads per measurement (I think). Each measurement are separated, and it’s not a big loss in sensitivity.

I’ve tried a few glues so far. Gorilla glue is the one that works best for me.Its temporary...once i gorilla glue it, there is no going back.
Gorilla glue...mostly just works. (years ago an Aussie mate spoke about filling the gaps in his house with 'Gorilla Snot' and it took me some years to connect the dots...we didn't, (but now do here !) have Gorilla gap filling foams. LOL
Next up is the 4fe42..What an improvement. Comparing to my previous travel system, cheap temu soundbar, which i hacked, little 4fe32 in small bamboo box with subwoofer now sound decent, acceptable, pleasant.
now that you have got a taste for it..
