Sorry you were easily swayed by the arena-designed theatrics. If you are interested in good Progressive Metal try Dream Theater (https://dreamtheater.net/). American band, real talent, impeccable musicianship.

Any electric guitar mavens out there, check out Superstition by Johnny A. I am not a fan of his studio albums, he has said that he wants these to be technically perfect, which they may be, but I love his live stuff. A little Jeff Beckish in style, IIRC, Jeff was 1 of his major influences. Lest you think he is an also ran, Gibson dedicated a guitar to him!

I agree that this is not particularly deep, there are times that that is what I want playing. When I'm cleaning, don't really need serious music playing!

Pretty quiet so I thought I'd mention a recording for any jazz guitar enthusiasts, Joe Pass Live Montreux 75. Every time that I listen to 1 of his recordings I am floored by his Mastery!
