I am enjoying seeing these smaller output amplifiers show up. Bigger is not always better! That said, I do have a preference for direct coupled designs.
Ohhh....yes, I like this one
. 'Useful amount of power, low distortion and probably OK to lay out and build on stripboard or some other simple DIY technique. 'Pity about the rising cost of those Lateral Mosfets though - it's something like 7UK pounds each + postage.

The current mirror U7 and U8 will not work with mismatched transistors. They need emitter degeneration.
I am pretty sure the simulator is assuming that U5 and U6 have the exact same Idss. You need to build a real amplifier.

The NFB would have to be split in DC (for operating point) and AC for reduction of distortion. The AC feedback should include both input and output C. In my simulations this works rather nice. In DC output coupling it still is useful to include the input C in the NFB loop. Those with fast prototyping ability could measure the difference.No. Electrolytic capacitors are non-linear.

I wanted keep it simple.
The performance is good without those changes.
But if somebody would make all those changes I would simulate this.

On the PCB add output Zobel 10ohm+100nF, Inductor across 10ohmLineup makes simulated suggestions only, if anyone does not know yet!
I might do a pcb suggestion, but it will take some time and some critical checking ...

J113 is a 35V nfet, not enough for 40V supply.
As stated before your simulation gives unrealistic results as each simulated transistor of on type exactly matches the other one -
current mirrors only work theoretically that way.
