Personal teleportation device PCB help request

Hello all. Firstly, I hope the mods allow this where the design gurus roam

Would someone with the time and energy please help with the design of a PCB. This is for a teleporting device. An active device would be better. Maybe something with a calculator type solar panel and a numeric keypad. No batteries or connections. If there are LED's that light with movement, then would be awesome. I know its asking for a lot but if this can be etched in, "Enter passcode to activate portal", would be awesomer

The backstory is that kids from my lil daughter's primary school have come to believe that she can teleport, so of course she must let them 'accidentally' discover the device 😀

It would awesomer again if she can solder this herself as she has a strong interest in STEM and also the school electric and double bass player

Thanks and regards
Randy

You are not asking for a PCB but the full design, plus writing related software.
A tall order. 😄

Seems like it!

Is it really that difficult to arrange some ominous looking chips and a keypad in any non-functioning setup? Are tracks even needed for that? I would have thought that a lil PCB mount solar panel connected to some LEDs via a couple of tilt switches would be a piece of cake for someone experienced

I can take care of the text by lasering it onto blank areas. Surely someone out there must enjoy fun things like this for kids?

That's easy. Just build a cardboard box with "Time Machine" written on it like the TV commercial. 😉
Hmm, today's kids aren't that easily tricked, this bunch is doing Arduino this year in yr6. Didn't we all get in trouble for pulling apart our folk's radio as a kid and gaze in wonder at all the awesome looking components inside........make things like wooden ray guns with such electronics and PCBs stuck on 😀

There are some very attractive 'Kids breadboards'. Might be an easy solution, and they even tend to work.

Thanks for the tip!

I now have a plan for this, sorry if I tend to go overboard 😀
Maybe I can CNC a sinister looking housing out of black and clear Perspex and fit a breadboard like that inside with the tilt switches and LEDs, solar on the case and lasered text and keypad. But an actual PCB designed by someone who knows what they are doing would be so much cooler 😀

How I remember this fondly.
My gun had that ferrite rod with windings thngy from the radio stuck into the tip of the pipe that formed the barrel of the gun and it really scared the other kids 😀

Mind you, that was in primary school yr6 too back in 1986. Our house was getting built, and I found a likely pointy long strip of Colourbond that I fitted to a handle with binding wire and made a sword that could cut down banana leaves. Tamarind wood bows that could shoot 1/4 rod steel arrows through their trunks. I dread to think my kids now getting up to that kind of 'adventure'

I wish, there was about 1km of grassland track to walk through to get to school vs around 2km via road. Both routes had either wild dogs or poorly fenced pets. I once got badly mauled on the legs by a 'pet' trying to avoid the wilds. It dragged me off the bike by the knee. The wild dogs would also attack our dogs and goats. Main reason for the sword and bow. I shot the dog that attacked me and also some of the wilds

The other thing was harassment by other kids through lower classes earlier in school. My way of dealing with the taunting and incursions into the yard 😀

Hey man, your rotary comment gave me an idea. I am sure there is somewhere in the multiverse where this thing involves audio, so this is what I have come up with. My daughter Jiya has a personal studio with a lil mixer and an Akai MPK Mini Play, mic and such. She enjoys making lil animation vids for her YouTube channel and talking about a camera so she can make movies in the park. I have this module linked below on hand. What if she can use this as an effects pedal for her projects. Could be fun

I am thinking to fit this in the CNC'ed Perspex case together with a small powerbank and laser the Text on the case (or 3D print. I have taught her a bit of FreeCAD and how to use our printer). Has the lit numeric display that can be actively adjusted for effects selection and another knob for effects level. The other kids wouldn't know this 😀

Maybe even two universal type preamp modules, one per channel so she can send mics or instruments through it

What do you guys think? Any suggestions to build on that to make it even cooler? I'll upload the CAD file once ready so anyone else so inclined can make one for their kid too 😀
