Hello. I have an Audio gd Di-20 Acusilicon interface which has an HDMI I2s socket I want to use in I2S with my Sonnet Morpheus dac which has a I2S input but in RJ45. I plan to make a cable with a HDMI male on one side and a RJ45 male on the other side
On the Sonnet Morpheous RJ45 input card, there’s DATA, LRCLK, MLCK, SCLK but there’s no DATA-, LRCLK-, MLCK-, SCLK-
Does it means I only use DATA+, LRCLK+, MLCK+, SCLK +from the DI-20 and I don’t need DATA-, LRCLK-, MLCK-, SCLK- which are on the DI-20?
Thanks

IMO you want a decent LVDS receiver, sth. like https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005254977418.html . There is no official standard for the I2S pinout over the HDMI cable, make sure to check your specific use case.
Audio-gd DI-20 has LVDS I2S output (i.e. differential). Sonnet Morpheus has single-ended I2S input. You need a LVDS I2S receiver that has single-ended output. E.g. as in post #2.
If the cable distance is not long, you can use DATA+, LRCLK+, MLCK+, SCLK+ on DI-20 alone, and do not need DATA-, LRCLK-, MLCK-, SCLK- on DI-20.Hello. Finally, I changed the Sonnet Morpheus for an Aqua La Voce S3 which also have a RJ45 input so I made a HDMI to RJ45 adaptor. After checking my job 3 times and more, I tried it. Results: It doesn't work. I suspect I will need a module which has + and - signals to do this task. Just using + signals from HDMI to RJ45 don't do anything. Here is the conversion I've done.
