Has anyone purchased inductors from a UK manufacturer?
Willy’s Hi Fi has a great range if high value, high power inductors, are imported which adds cost and delay.
Bourns 1140 series are pretty good too, but lack the current handling.
I’m interested in values in the range 1mH to 20mH that can cope 2.8A rms.

The Hammond inductors seem a good fit - thanks. I see a phone number on that page, but no business information I can follow. Do you know where I can find out more? Or would you pass on my contact details if still in contact? PM me if so.
I ended up getting a 2nd Hand pair of Hammonds from another Forum member. I think you just have to call that UK company.

Maybe they can do something with lower DCR and the same L as the Hammond for < cash? Do share if you find out

Was wondering if anyone has had any experience they can share with using Pennine Radio Ltd (PRL) & Express Transformers or any others that come to mind.

I spoke with James at Pennine Radio Ltd about manufacturing a custom inductor on smaller quantities, he was exceptionally helpful. They have a good selection of core sizes for EI cores. You need to supply the design however.
