…And wholly crap, you don’t age!
Thanks, it’s either lucky genes, running 5 miles a day, lack of sleep, or maybe that one time Duncan McLeod visited me during a lightning storm. 🙂
Lucky genes could net all that. They can be so lucky that you belong to a lineage of immortals with great endurance to go on many sleepless nights and a good sense of hearing to churn out many interesting and successful DIY projects 😉Thanks, it’s either lucky genes, running 5 miles a day, lack of sleep, or maybe that one time Duncan McLeod visited me during a lightning storm. 🙂
Come to think of it, your next amp project could be named "Highlander"...
In any case, congrats XRK!
Thanks, Hugh! Your amps are still the best sounding to my ears, and the standard by which I try to design an amp to emulate.
…Your FH9 collaboration will be making its debut on my buddies’ audio systems today! I’ll update the FH9 thread with some thoughts when we are done!
Hi Anand,
Looking forward to the FH9HVX listening impressions.
Thanks,
Viet
It has made the short list for Joint Budget Components of the Year And it costs less than a set of WE 300Bs for the winner of the best amplifier. Frugal-phile™ likes that.

Thanks guys! I use the Warp-1 as my daily driver and it still sounds great. For most testing of driver and speakers for measurements, the Warp-1 is my main go-to amp.
Thank you! I am using the Warp-1 to test my new XSD speaker (actually 5 days of continuous playing to break-in the drivers).
The Warp-1 being Class D is not a problem to leave on 24/7 and it drives a 4ohm load just fine.

So…
When in use, all my amps run 7/24 and many of my speakers have a 4Ω load (at least somewhere. The Class D amps are currently in the closet (and my breifcase hifi).

I wouldn’t want to leave my Class A amps on 24/7 is what I am saying. My 75w Class AB amps do stay on 24/7 as well but they do burn about 20W idle though.

Mine run for months, years, only going off when the power does. One of those power outages seems to have affected one of the channels of one of my ACA Minis.
