Babelfish XA252 / Babelfish XA252 SIT / Babelfish XA252 SET

Somehow, I think ZM's cost, in terms of time and parts, is higher than outsourcing it.

ZM could be doing other things of higher value, working on Intellectual Property (IP) instead of doing a purely mechanical task.

He did say he is a cheapskate, OK, but in reality, that's time taken away from designing stuff. More stuff!

My experience with M3 M4 4-40 6-32 is use a one piece drill/tap, oil and a 7 (15 is the max on mine) or so setting on your drill. Justin Forbis taught me this years ago. Is it tedious? YES
Say, what were those puck like rectifiers you used? I guess they worked out to your satisfaction? Really like their appearance, I know they are a touch expensive, but perfect for this amp!

Mightiness,
as you know I like the Scryer very much, in fact I adore it 😍
But now I'm building the XA252 and would build it as mos only... but... would I like it that much? Or will I miss the SIT?
Should I go for the SIT version? - is it actually the SIT that makes the sound seductive, or something else?
I just started to populate the boards, so I still could take another direction.

you'll like it whatever version you make

that much ...... that if you try more than one, you'll want to build that one too to have it

seductiveness of ZM's amps is not in parts used, but produced in ZM's fun while devising them

I briefly had the opportunity to hear an XA252SIT. It's a SIT with cojones. Hopefully I'll get my hands on one soon.

The MOS is for Pass Labs type customers. You need the SIT version. You will want the SIT version.
