I built a mini speaker using FOSTEX's best full range FF85WK ever.
Although it is small, it ensures the minimum necessary bass, and can be used for almighty with natural mid and high range.
The enclosure is made of 9mm thick MDF wood, and the finishing is done with vinyl sheets.
The total material cost for the enclosure amounts to $11.

Can’t disagree with that. Some fairly easy mods to improve them further.
It looks a lot more like a weird TL than any kind of reflex.
This is a double reflex: http://wodendesign.com/downloads/Woden-FF85-Harpoon-DCR-1v01-281213.pdf

A tall-ish MLTL perhaps? 🙂I might still have Sea Slug somewhere too.

A standmount low-mid horn variation actually. Will see if I can dig it out.
It's the technically accurate term for an expanding quarter-wave pipe (aka 'horn') that has the terminus mass-loaded via a duct. ML TQWT is another (arguably less accurate, but commonly used) description.
Since this is not a double bass reflex design, perhaps it would be good to change the subject line accordingly?

Thanks, Scott.

I designed it as a double bass reflex, but since the design and measured resonance frequencies of fd1 and fd2 are the same, I think I can call it a "double bass reflex".
