That is a very good book, and if i could only have one tube amplifier reference, it would be the one.

In somethign like the 5th edition now.

You can buy that book and read it more than once. Get at least the 4th edition.

Popovich book is waste of $. Has nothing to offer, Merlin books and Morgan Jones are the books to have and learn from.

Go with Igor Popovich books, you will never regret, a true diy masterpiece, with many hard to understand subjects very easily and intuitively explained. Also the author is a very original and special character. You would not find something better from diy perspective.

Reference books are exactly that, not to be read once and forgotten but to be kept nearby and often re-read.
In good ones, every new read highlights something which you didn´t fully notice or understand before.
Well worth purchase price and then some.
