Hello
Here I have posted two impedance measurements. In the second one, I put a pretty large wooden panel inside the port, thus lowering its resonant frequency, right? smaller area lower port tuning. As you can see the dip has not moved at all almost, but the left impedance peak has become smaller. If I test the box resonance frequency by running a sine wave generator and looking at the cone movement, the Fb is about 28Hz where it should be also looking at the simulated results.
Could someone explain what is going on here. I have tested this on two computers and on two DATS 2 and DATS3, both show the same results.
This is not the first time this has happened. Some boxes show good results, some do this what I have described.

There are not two impedance peaks, there is one peak and one dip in the middle of it. The dip has moved down.
Thank you for correcting. But it has only moved roughly by 3hz, but by putting the panel in the port I almost divided the port area by two and the lenght is the same, it should have moved by 10hz and also why does it not match the sine wave test? Port tuning is where the cone moves the least. it definetely was not 41 Hz but about 28Hz
Greets! This is not the first time this has happened. Some boxes show good results, some do this what I have described.
OK, so what are all the specs/pertinent details of each type to compare?
Is your port resonance above the cone resonance, that is what it looks like. One peak is that of the cone and the other that of the port. If you seal the port what happens? which resonance are you seeing?
Sorry, I should have said the one resonance is the cone and box, the other is the port and the box.
