Do you own an Exercise Bike? And what do you do with it?

A lot of exercise equipment ends up as expensive clothes racks. I had a Roman chair a while back. That quickly turned into a drying rack for my hockey equipment.

OTOH you should have no trouble finding an exercise bike on the used market.

Another option could be a bike roller. That'll allow you to use your road bike as a stationary bike.

Here in SE US, rain is quite frequent and I get off work too late for a good outdoor ride so have to have an indoor option. I have an older spin bike with an older 43 in TV mounted on a rolling stand in front of it. I watch some documentary on Netflix or Prime Video while I spin for the duration. For me it is a reliable daily 45 minutes or so of movement and I hope to learn something interesting along the way. My other thing is a rowing machine and THAT is challenging to stay focused. Cannot freewheel or slack off.

Of course, that is just me. YMMV.

I found an exercise bike on a ditch, so went back for the car to take it home. BORING! jeezzz, just the warm up drove me to distraction. Now you can plug them into your TV and cycle against others, perhaps that I could do, but not as fun as my ride home tonight on my old crank commuter bike, tailing a confused roady.

I do aerobic exercise 3 times a week. I'm age 72, 68", 175 lb winter 163 summer, BP 138/72, cloresterol 160, rest pulse 75 in March, 65 summer. I bike 70 miles a week in good weather, outdoors. Indoors I mostly do Army daily dozen & lift hand weights (3-5 lb), but if I ever get my house organized after the burglary, I'll be able to ride the exercise bike again. I watch music videos on TV when I ride the bike. If not TV, I listen to the stereo, which is beautiful.
The exerbike I own is like one of these https://www.tunturi.com/en/cardio/sprinter-bikes/ only I can sit upright, the saddle is 10.3" wide x 11" long, and it weighs 80 lb so it won't walk around. Unfortunately people are supposed to flex their necks back 90 degrees to ride a bike these days. My Mother ruptured a disc due to bad posture at work and was in pain every second for the rest of her life, 16 years. I'm not doing that. I look just like her (except for being male).
