I make Hiraga Le Monstre 2x 8w with oversize capacitors, what you think?

Hi there Le Monstre amp looks nice. What is parameters of PSU part? Transformer voltages and C-R-C values?

I have done a simulation of Le Monstre.

I had to use 200 Ohm pot instead of original 100 Ohm.

I also had to add R13 and R14 resistors, to get the desired bias in output.
My target was 0.75 Ampere bias. Gives max 1.5A x 8 Ohm = 12 Vpeak.

Seriously one of the best more complex half-wave balanced complementary transistors push-pull amplifiers.

Quite a bit could be reworked on your Le Monstre, which still brought a lot of resolution and subtlety and clarity. But even a Le Monstre does not come close to a Single Ended;-)-;

Unfortunately it is most 3rd harmonics

More distortion and higher orders than I expected.

Has anyone listened to Topping LA90 that measures like this? And this is at approx 50W. I´m at the stage to order one just to find out... In any case a remarkable piece of angineering, and this is AB. Truly just amazing...
