Hi, and welcome to the forum!

Your Castle crossovers are already fitted with high quality MPP (Metallised Polypropylene) capacitors.

I would not expect to hear an audible difference as a result of swapping these for 'audiophile' type capacitors.

Your capacitors are 4.7 uF and 10 uF types.

Since you are UK based, look to Willys Hifi for how you can upgrade your polypropylene film capacitors to more 'audiophile' types such as Mcap EVO and Mcap EVO Oil. Those have a 450 V rating, which is OK.

Bear in mind that these 'audiophile' capacitors are physically much larger than your MPPs, so fitting them on your circuit board may be problematical.

However, I must say I'm extremely doubtful that these expensive capacitors would solve your "missing clarity and bass" problem.

I'll add that my experience with earlier Castle Acoustic speakers (Clyde and Richmond) was that they were refined to the extent of being 'laid back'.

Both Castle models were sold on and, on each occasion, I reverted to my home built speakers because of their superior immediacy.

The Pembrokes would probably benefit from a more 'perky' amplifier.

EDIT: Although your Rega IO is a very good amp!
