High end amplifier- For 4-8 ohm

Hi.I modded my Denon PMA495R amplifier a lot but i still did not like the sound.I is dry sounding amp. Finally i broke it into pieces and now i have a very good quality transformer now.It have zero noise. I like it. It has 2x31v Ac. It makes about +-41v after rectified.I think transformer is about 200watts but not sure. I could not find a good schematic on internet for40v simetric class ab amp for 4 ohms. I want to make a very good sounding Class ab amplifier.I will connect it to my 4 ohm full range speakers. Please advise.

The "dryness", and not yet mentioned "scratchiness", is result mainly of the construction: bad solder joints, unnecessary contacts, unnecessary bridges and more, but also unnecessarily complex circuit.
From the original, I would use the power follower (I think it will be one) and from all the many "unnecessary pre-stages" only one or two. These Denons should have some (many unnecessary) single ended preamps. And then connect the input directly, without switches and relays and such, to this se preamp.

Hi. I do not know why it is dry sounding. I liked lm3875 sound more. Even Tda2050 sounds better than Denon amp as i remember. I will buy this one then.It seems it is blameless amp.

It seems it has carbon resistors though.

Then I would replace the power transistors in the MT-200 packages with TO-247 or, even better, because more contoured and on point, TO-220.
No doubt: lm3875 and TDA2050 sound much better than complex discrete pp-designs - krell, accuphase, madrigal, cello... too!

No, but I am very sure that the sound will be exactly the same if not even better (less noise) if a normal-sized capacitor is used.
It's like putting a huge steering wheel from a big truck on your car and then pretending that your 150Hp car pulls like a 600Hp truck.
I started to feel sick from the fads and audiophile nonsense that I see on the net, including here on the forum.
