No access to the bottom of this unit, unlike many other Sony receivers, and I need to take out the main board to get to solder side connections.
The only thing I can't figure out is the power cord situation. The leads appear to be both wire wrapped and soldered.
I was hoping to undo the strain relief and feed enough cord through to allow me to remove the board from the chassis.
Any idea how to remove it (since I have access from the inside)?
All suggestions - regarding any approach - are welcome.
EDIT: Upon closer examination, the two leads of the power cord do not appear to be wire wrapped. Instead they appear soldered to posts with two distinct upright protrusions (?) [see last three photos]

There are (were) tools just for this purpose. But a carefully chosen pair of pliers can work from the outside.

The two tailed arrows pointing at screws allow disassambling without future problems, so at your benifit.
Those strain reliefs are replaceble, costs less then a penny. Dismount.

That screw holds the back plate to the composite chassis -- it doesn't really solve my problem.
Moreover, have yet to find a strain relief in this shape or configuration
That's a common problem. After many decades of playing with audio equipment, I simply cut the mains cable plastic holder (carefully) with an x-acto knife. This does not introduce any stress to that mains cable - sometimes you need a fair amount of force to remove the darn thing if pliers are used to remove the mains cable. Of course, after such an attempt, the plastic holder thingy gets damaged (or at least badly scratched) ... so it needs to be replaced anyway.
I used to routinely replace that solution by cutting the back metal plate -> to accommodate the IEC mains connector (socket). So much better.

It's just a common, cheap way to attach wires to a pcb. Used often in receivers etc.
