I have a stack of low noise Toshiba 2SA970, would you consider these to be an upgrade over KSA992?

A little surprised you easily achieved a negative phase harmonic with this circuit.
Would have thought you would need to use a circuit of opposite polarity like J2.

Did you need to employ any tricks to achieve this eg more gain off the output compared with the input?
