ACA Mini with Dual Supply

ACA Mini is a very interesting amplifier.
It is Nelson Pass typical minimalistic.

ACA Mini works well with dual supply, +/-12V.

But watch out for the DC offset on the output.
Adjust before you attach your speaker.

Don't mind those components I have replaced.
It would work with the original parts.

Personaly, i feel better if there is cap on the output. I got nothing against capacitors, even if they are far from ideal.
Trying to remove output cap often complicates things.

Lineup, you need to realize that even if you adjust zero dc on the output before attaching speaker, it will likely drift over time.
Even worse, it will be terrible during startup and power down. No one is interested in unplugging and plugging speakers over and over. Not practical.

I am using aca mini as is as headphone amp. I would never want to subject my planars to dc.

I know some inject small amount of dc on input in op amps or classAB amps to push them out of crossover distortion in more linear behaviour.
I used resistors between power supply and output of opamp in my riaa to run it classA, and it sounded smoother.
Its all good when you know what are you doing.
