I was going to purchase in the UK some ASC X386s capacitors from RS components, but they have now stopped selling them, I have been talking to the ASC factory and they don't distribute here, and I have been talking to a company in NY and they have finally come back with a price about 3 times the RS sale price I was looking at :-(
Any ideas where you might get some at a sensible / fair price?

Available on Ebay.co.uk . Try searching under the old brand name for ASC , Suzuku . I have some 40uF and 8uF available if you get stuck
I think the brand may actually be Shizuku , strongly suggest avoiding ordering these from overseas as these caps contains liquid

Hey - has anyone tried these as an alternative, they are resin filled so possibly also benefit from inherent mechanical damping like the oil filled ones.

I have a factory case of Shizuki 40uF 440VAC which I doubt I'll ever use . Suitable alternatives are the Wima or Vishay DC link caps which are inexpensive and compact , these will easily fit under the chassis .
