I have mtm 12" LCRs nowYou want surrounds this large?! Just how big and/or acoustically shaped is this HT?
Box size
.5 - 1.5 cuft box ported
Over kill yes 😁
OK, got no problem with overkill, quite the opposite! But this is about getting the best overall polar response for each surround, i.e. the the bigger it is the narrower its beaming begins.
I have tried 8"
And with winisd 110db , vs 120db ,
I am open to expanding,
With 4 rears pointed at mlp
We should be ok

Just a quick note that the Faital 10HX230 gets a thumbs-up from me. I've been using a pair (plus a 12" sub) for a 100-seat theatre show this week, powered by a Powersoft T604. They do the job comfortably, and sound great doing it.
I've also paired them with a couple of 18" subwoofers for live bands. The 10"s start to run out of headroom when amplifying a live drum kit, but that's asking quite a lot of a compact speaker.

Can you explain a little more , I have heard this being explained before, maybe a link or picture,OK, got no problem with overkill, quite the opposite! But this is about getting the best overall polar response for each surround, i.e. the the bigger it is the narrower its beaming begins.
Will this be a issue in home theater speakers

I used a passive crossover for the Faitals. The T604 was running the subwoofer on Ch1, and then the mains on Ch2&3.
The passive crossover was around 2kHz, which worked well in terms of off-axis response etc.
