Hi everyone,
Thanks for reading - I hope this is the right spot to post this.
I have a Nakamichi PA7 and the power just flickered on and off a few times - and now it won’t turn on. It’s plugged into a surge bar.
I was wondering if anyone could shine some light on what could have happened to it, I would like to try and repair it myself if it’s doable.
Appreciate any input, hope you’re all having a good day.
Thanks

Try a different power cord. That is to say the one between the amp and the outlet. They often fail.Hi everyone,

check the mains going into the chassis with a multimeter. If you get your mains voltage, at least you know it is getting that far. Check after the switch, then check rail voltage on the amp boards. That will narrow things down a bit. Otherwise, the answer will be, it could be anything.
whatever actual reason for intermittent behavior, in the end fuse can give up too
so, first finding primary culprit, but also check fuse
