Does anyone have plans for a build similar to the Fern and Roby Raven utilising the SEAS FA22rcz 8" fullrange driver?
Looking to challenge myself and think these would be great fun to put together.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

Looks like an ML-TL. Driver offset is not optimal.
The FA22 is one of the few drivers you can use sealed and get decent bas srrsponse. It i smy preferred box. Easy to make one any shape you want. Something like 60-80 litres.

The FA22 really benefits from phase plugs.

So any shape 60-80 litres and add a phase plug...
That leaves some options.
I am not opposed to a sealed design.
Thanks for your advice

I think a member from Melbourne did something similar but I have been unable to find anything related. I'm not overly tech savvy.
Can anyone recommend some good (preferably free) software to aid with box design?
Or if anyone "cough" planet10 "cough" has a design, a cut list and some basic instructions sitting around...

Eek.
If we recommend boxes and how low they go, would that help you ?

I'm a fan of 1 : 1.618 ratios.

The big sealed box for the A26 set would work fine.

Out of curiosity as I am very much leaking in understanding and I apologise for my ignorance.
How does utilising a sealed cabinet affect efficiency?

Efficiency does not change. There is a myth that BR increases efficiency. Not really true. A BR increases quantity just above roll-off giving up quantity below roll-off and makes the box suseptable to unloading below roll-off.
If a driver goes low enuff sealed, it tends to better match roomgain, takes EQ without too much worry (excursion & power are called into action). Sealed tends to give better transient response.

Ok. New questions.
If I decided to go with the advised Seas cabinet that Seas specify in their application notes. as per the link below, I would assume adding bracing similar to that specified for the A26 build would be advisable. If so would increasing the size of the cabinet be a good idea to ensure we are increasing the internal volume to compensate for the extra material I would be introducing?
For instance, increasing the height from 635mm to 735mm? So that way we are taking the roughly 60L internal volume and increasing it to 70L minus the room the bracing is taking up...

Given the already undersized box, it is really not that critical, but the second cabinet (the first is the stock for reference) in the A26-reViz set is the standard cabinet with bracing.

Also, would anyone foresee any major issues changing from MDF to Birch Ply?
The enclosure will not be as good, but it will likely be cheaper. You will need even more bracing with MDF.

Sorry Dave I was talking about the Seas standard cabinet plans which are written up for 19mm MDF. As below -
