OK, I understand why not Beast with 2K+ JFets, but why not the other one?
I mean, if not bigger one, one can always DIY that little Remorker-Tugboat

I didn't know the FET monstrosity had ever been built, I thought they were guitar speakers at first. 🙂
Definitely!!!!!Yes, true, but it’s a philosophical question: can it drive an F4?

Vietnam era workhorse F4 was available in carrier versions.
I found it the most impressive plane, back then when I was a kid (and before the SR-71).
Too bad the Phantom had that old J-79 engine that smoked like a banshee...it was like putting a bulls-eye on your backside..."here I am, come & shoot me down!".

Yes, in fact the picture I posted is a current one (2022) from Turkish Air Force .The F4s are still in service in Turkey. I think I saw a patrolling pair during vacation, but I am not sure I identified them correctly.
And apparently Iranians still keep a couple flying.
Online....from Wikipedia..... :
'As of 2021, 63 years after its first flight, the F-4 remains in active service with the air forces of Iran, South Korea, Greece, and Turkey. The aircraft has most recently been in service against the Islamic State group in the Middle East.'
One of the largest production runs in jet fighters was for this model, that information is available in more detail on line.
