Hi folks. Short time lurker, first time poster here. Love all the great info here!
To the point, I just started working for a guy who has a fully refurbished Dyna-Quik 500. I'm definitely in need of adapters, so I'm on the hunt for those, but I pulled fuses out of an old Philco radio to test them. But the tube types aren't in the chart. As a rookie who hasn't used more than one other tube tester, this is new to me.
For example, I have a 7B7 which needs the L55a adapter, so I will have to buy that, but I also have a 7J7 that isn't in the chart. This goes for the 7C6 and 7G7 types. Do I just need an updated chart or should I just be way more technical and know what the alternatives should be?
Thanks in advance for any feedback. I really want to make the most of this opportunity and tester!

Welcome.
7B7 is a Remote Cutoff Pentode. An AM radio IF amplifier. It will distort in audio uses. 7C6 might be OK if you could find the socket but 12AV6 or half a 12AX7 may be more convenient. 7G7 could be an RF amp but is real over-kill for an AM radio. Nearly all US type starting with "7" will be loctal base.
Unless you are into a limited sub-set of tube AM radios (I had one in the shed but I got rid of it), these tubes are about no use. OK, any tube "can" amplify audio but there are usually better ways.

What do you want to do with it??? 7J7 is Loctal base, which was only used for a short time, and good sockets are hard to find. And the 7J7 is a Triode-Heptode-Converter.....WTF? This is a specific AM radio tube. The way it is pinned-out, and specified, don't encourage any other use. It is probably "based on" an older Octal type of similar uselessness (but a still-common socket).have a 7J7

I recently purchased a Dyna-Jet 707; It needed work. Found this article- https://tubesound.com/bk-707-tube-tester
Purchased very nice repop 707 schema/owners manual & couple other accessories from author of above article on his ebay store.
Noticed he has manuals available for your 500- https://www.ebay.com/itm/190519135308
My experience has been good w/ Bob. I'd recommend getting that manual- It should answer your questions. Ya might also reach out to him on his website 'contact' link
