Surprisingly (or not?) the off-the-shelf EI transformer DP-241-4-12 was one of the better ready solutions. Good old copper and iron 🙂 Least effort, high gains. Simplicity.

I love this guy's videos - they're highly informative and the dryyy German humour really appeals to me.
I have a strong suspicion he works in the metrology institute. Not many people get given a Keysight 8.5 digit, have an older one to compare it against plus Fluke gear to test against then go into the institute to test ppm rates against their standards (classical not quantum standards). He's also built his own CERN 8.5 open source digit multimeter.
