Slightly lower tuning with a 2 fold (3 resonator in series) offset driver TL.
used a bigdumb example as it was easy to show a ‘change’ and its being built currently fwiw..
same volume ~850 liters
360 cm x (pi/9) = 125.66 driver entry with 234.34cm remaining (split as 120cm and 114.34cm which seems to compliment a 3:1 CEA reduction (anymore reduction and air speed is a threat @ exit Fb).
(3000cm2)/
x 125.66cm
(3000cm2)
x120cm
for the first 2 folds
then,
(1000cm2) x 114.34cm in the last.
851 liters with 3 dayton audio ultimax 18-22 drivers. Fb @ 14.8hz (electrical impedance null)
vs
tapered as
(3700-2800cm2) x125.66cm
(2800-1900cm2) x120cm
(1900-1000cm2 ) x114.34cm
856liters with 3 dayton ultimax 18-22 drivers. Fb @ 16.0 hz (electrical impedance null)

advantage to the stepped response?
might need to look at a few more examples?
but i recently used the dayton rs180 in full range TL (the parts express ‘samba’ kit essentially as a ‘qw pipe’ and it was ‘easier to get a flat response stuffed lightly and offset ‘ precisely’ @ (pi/9, 0.3490658x ) .this way as well?
i built the tapered already however … (still
have another pair of rs180 s though …

Here is the complete list of original Magic 8 Ball responses:
- It is certain
- It is decidedly so
- Without a doubt
- Yes, definitely
- You may rely on it
- As I see it, yes
- Most likely
- Outlook good
- Yes
- Signs point to yes
- Reply hazy try again
- Ask again later
- Better not tell you now
- Cannot predict now
- Concentrate and ask again
- Don't count on it
- My reply is no
- My sources say no
- Outlook not so good
- Very doubtful

Until you post response measurements of the actual cabinet compared to simulations, response # 11, 14, 15, and 16 seem most appropriate

👍🏻👍🏻i only Have measurements of high order enclosures unfortunately however they all match horn response brilliantly perfectBooger,

3 segment qw resonators (2 fold qw pipes and driver entry to pressurize at the former 3 x 1/4 harmoinc pressure node @ the first (pi/9) to extend 28.8-86.4 into 144hz (or 21.6 if you reduce the last segment cross-sectional area by 50% or even more (if you can get away with it without making a turbulent noisy port issue)
sound energy is light energy (read that in reverse) as a wave , even as an air particle grouping in a ‘rectangle pipe’ as a ‘sine wave’ would symbolize if drawn along side it as 90/180/270 or just 90 degree in a circle start to finish
as : 1/4 wave (300cm/Fb) and the next harmonic of 1200 as (3 x 1/4 wave ) (100cm) and 60 as (5 x 1/4 wave)
here’s 3 clocked (phase ) lens ? it’s seems its more than OK to look outside of sound to see how some of this stuff functions in the same way?

This is why the differential pressure location is so vital in a closed end pipe
as 0.3490658(pi/9) ???
? again, Another way of looking at how things work in (offset driver entrypoint of line excitationvia pressure )transmission lines without actually looking at the speaker version?

i screwed these up initially(pics) (it was before using horn response to see the exact location 0.3490658 if the TS parameters and CSA used force it just right it seems?? but they weren’t really noticeable because they were stuffed and crossed over before the area of concern maybe? i wish i wasn’t so green here(2 tears ago)

it always seems to workout now. (doesn’t mean I understand why it’s all based on radians as cm ?? seems it doesn’t mean Martin King understand that either?) not sure, he only recently removed the 0.349 chart?

e/pi is 0.865strange?
1meter is 86.4
cosine 60, sine of 30 is 0.8660254
put that on the circumference of a circle and pretend it’s a sine wave rolled up and its a hexagon(thanks to 30/60/90/120/150/180/210/240/270/300/330/360.
but place drivers at 30 and 330(300 cm between them) in parallel qw pipes with exit at 270 and it imediately shows the same pattern as
864.1728/2592/3456/4320/5184/6048/6912/7776/8640 …all cancelled as Vmax/Pmin harmonics if ‘perfectly aligned in HR(sim to see)
860 is 864 in HR (0.4 hz @ 1 meter
(4 @0.1 , 40 at 00.1 (0.04 at 10m, etc) for each 1.6 of speed of sound change, sucks or we’d understand quickly the math (numbers as wavelength and or freq
in all of this universally, uniformly, easily (time as in 86400 seconds too )
