Nichicon Yellow cap replacement

Hi,

We use to replace the orange LN capacitors by Low Leakage caps, such as Nichicon KL for example.

But sometimes we find YELLOW capacitors, like this Nichicon :

What are the specificities of these yallow caps, and what would be the best replacement ?

Thank you

The "K" stands for "close tolerance " = 10% which is good for an electrolytic , as no other information is shown in your picture ( apart from temperature ) --according to Nichicon,s own coding chart that's it ---unless somebody knows better ?

Yellow isn't my favorite colour and I don't remember many electrolytics coloured all yellow.

JMFahey is right , its not enough just to mention a capacitor briefly you must put all the inscribed details that are marked on it .

LN is just a SERIES by Nichicon -- now discontinued for new work.

Its just a bit smaller than the LS SERIES --nothing particularly special about it.

Dont go by the colour --go by the manufacturers spec .

I notice colour means a lot on some audio websites but think---- if there was a Tartan capacitor ( being Scottish ) and some website said-- wow ! you can hear the skirl of bagpipes after installation I might be tempted but all China has to do is make millions of Tartan capacitors to sell to Scots by just sticking a label round a piece of aluminum of low grade internals and make a big profit.
