Been chilling to live blue grass festival stuff feels like there is so much more to it than I thought. Supper talented with a twist of who knows what you going to get. Love it! Michael
Bluegrass is awesome! 😎
Some of the modern bands to take note of are The Steeldrivers, Old crow medicine show, The Brothers Comatose, The Infamous stringdusters, The dead south, etc…….and of course plenty of the old classics.
…...i used to live in the mtns of NC on the TN line and was right smack in the middle of some of the best bluegrass talent on the planet.

Hey Mountain Man Bob, Know those mountains at TN Carolina line well Take that route east near Knoxville to visit sister in Charlotte. Nothing like the flat top mountains near Chattanooga. Those are way more beautiful. Scary driving! Picked up an old CD of Telluride Colorado Blue Grass Festival 1992. Some awsome old timers! Purple Hay by Strange Rangers is hilarious. 2 CD I will send you a copy of it if you want. MichaelBluegrass is awesome! 😎

Thanks for the video. Starting to listen to more blue grass. Love the really old blues best like Bind Lemon Jefferson. Some of the newer blue grass seems o be a "fusion" . I prefer the front porch shindig stuff. What are you into? Michael
I like it all, but consider myself lucky to have been steeped in the roots of it, probably as close as one could get to real bluegrass as possible. I cant play a instrument but was into recording and have a few cd’s i made stashed somewhere that ive promised a couple people id post up for years……by now they probably think im full of excrement but im ordering a cd drive for my new mac mini so I’ll actually be able to do it soon!
Here is a a documentary about Bascom Lunsford who documented the music of my exact area, i had never met him but sat on a few of those porches with the same families that were filmed listening to the same music!

Hey mnt. Bob speaking of front porch music my wife's relatives are from noth east Alabama near Ft Payne. She was a small child when she was teased by the older Randy Owens her 2nd cousin. They were the real deal I call without any disrespect Hillbillies. Better known as county legends Alabama. They are still in Ft Payne and are very active in giving to their community. Awsome guys. Most go all Holiwood. Michael
Hey Michael, Inline with your strange rangers, here‘s something off a cd i always enjoyed cranking up while trying to find the bottom of a mason jar! Gotta love Minnie Pearl…..
Theres quite a few famous people involved with the ‘groovegrass boyz’ project……something fun, you might enjoy the whole album. 😎
