Did you know the OM styli fit on the 2M body? 🙂

Done! This is quite interesting. Any observations on performance? Seems like the generator design would have to be very similar.
@billshurv What do you think?

Or at least the housing and the grip.. 🤣<snip>

Been the same generator design since the first VMS cartridges. Manufacturers like to sweat their assets!
I had a VMS, but can no longer remember which model it was. Later I had an LM20H which was about as good an MM as I have owned I guess.
I should also note Ortofon have tweaked the stylus mount a few times over the years so LM series stylii despite looking just like OM won't fit newer OM bodies and some of the DJ stylii won't fit other bodies. Compliance has varied all over the shop as well over the decades and it can be a devil of of a job to work out which is which (if you care about compliance anyway).
I've been waiting for someone to put an OM30 on a Bronze body & compare it to the black. Could save you about $400!!

The valid comparison would be black to OM40 but I am aware a lot of people prefer the 30 to the 40.
Is this really a snug fit? Note that gap between the generator tip and the first traverse that doesn't exist at my SuperOM bodies and any of my styli.
Best regards!
Yes it fits tight, the body is just longer on the 2M.
LP gear Shibata replacement "40" is cheap compared to a black, too.I've been waiting for someone to put an OM30 on a Bronze body & compare it to the black. Could save you about $400!!

Don't use the Shibata. The alignment is to difficult, the Nude Fine line is much easier to align the SRA.
