So I ran across a Taramps Bass 3k used on egay for cheap and bought it to either have a spare
amplifier or to flip it to one of my friends. Amp came in, it is totally dead. No power lights, protection lights, nothing. eBay seller gave me my money back and told me to keep it. So I now have a free dead amplifier. Before I toss this thing, does anyone have a clue what could be wrong with it? I don’t see anything obvious. It seems to be in almost pristine condition like it was bought, connected, found to be dead and returned to the store. Some of the plastic wrap was still in the box and the plastic is still on the logo.
Check IC9, you should have 12V on pin 1 and 5V on pin 8. There is also a R154 that should have 5V on both sides.
When you apply remote, you should have 12V on pin 2.

Thank you very much for your reply. I believe that this is going to be beyond my skill level at this point.
Well, to start I spent probably 15 minutes looking at the board and I can’t even find IC9 or R154.
This may be a different revision of a 3000w amp. The output drivers appear to be IRS20957 ICs. That may help someone to find the diagram for the correct revision. I don't have it.
No. Sold it on eBay as parts only. Seemed to be the best way for me. I have repaired amplifiers before, but it was mostly just replacing burnt component. I have sure never tried diagnosing a full bridge amplifier.
